<p>Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) are designed to stop individuals or groups
committing anti-social behaviour (ASB) in a public space. Local councils are responsible
for determining whether use of a PSPO is appropriate, and the Home Office does not
centrally collate data on the number issued.</p><p>The effectiveness of PSPOs and
other ASB powers is kept under review through the Home Office’s Anti-social Behaviour
Strategic Board which brings together a range of partners and representatives from
key agencies and Government departments.</p>
